Hot Honey Grilled Cheese

Golden sourdough and melted cheddar meet a little hot honey in this skillet sandwich. Medium-low heat gives the cheese time to melt before the bread gets too dark.

LET’S MAKE SOMETHING GOOD

The method

  1. 01

Butter one side of each bread slice. Place two slices butter-side down on a board.

  2. 02

Divide cheddar between them, drizzle each with one teaspoon of mild hot honey, and top with remaining bread, butter-side up.

  3. 03

Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side, pressing lightly, until golden and the cheese melts. Reduce heat if the bread browns before the filling melts.

Times are estimates. Check doneness and any required internal temperature before serving.
